Wednesday Fast: The Only Pleasure That Lasts — His Presence!
As we fast and pray tomorrow, remember this truth: the only pleasure that truly lasts is found in the Presence of Jesus. The world chases quick thrills—parties, popularity, money, relationships—but those highs always fade. Only His Presence brings real peace, joy, and righteousness that satisfy the soul.
The Bible says,
“For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”
— Romans 14:17
Fasting isn’t about giving something up—it’s about making room for God. When we turn down the noise of the world, we can hear His voice more clearly. When we say no to lesser pleasures, we say yes to the greatest joy—knowing Him.
Lou Engle once said, “Fasting is the great rediscovery of pleasure in God.”
That’s what today is about—finding our peace, joy, and identity not in the world, but in His Presence.
Thank you for fasting, praying, and giving your all to see the gospel spread in your schools and city. Let’s keep going after Him together—He’s worth it all!
Stay hungry,
