Tarry Like Wesley — Fast the World, Feast on God's Love and Word (Wednesday Prayer + Fast)!

As we fast tomorrow, we’re not just skipping meals—we’re pushing back the noise of the world to feast on the living Word of God. When we set our hearts on Jesus, He meets us with power, just like He did in one of the greatest gospel movements in history.

Back in the 1730s and 1740s, a man named John Wesley—along with his friend George Whitefield—got tired of dead religion. They longed for more than routine—they wanted revival. So what did they do?

They fasted.
They tarried.
They prayed.

At a place called Fetter Lane, Wesley and his crew gathered deep into the night. At 3 a.m., as they shared the Lord’s Supper, the Holy Spirit broke in. That moment lit a fire that spread across England—and eventually to America.

“They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength…” —Isaiah 40:31
“Return to Me… and I will return to you,” says the Lord. —Zechariah 1:3
“I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation…” —Romans 1:16

The same gospel that shook Europe is still alive today. The same Holy Spirit is still moving. The only question is—will we make room?

Let’s fast the world tomorrow—distractions, gossip, social media, pride—and feast on truth. Feast on Jesus.

You’re not alone. We’re praying, we’re hungering, we’re believing—together!

Let’s go after God—this is holy ground.
Pray. Fast. Open the Word. Watch what He does!

Blessings in Christ,

FCS Club
