Wednesday Fast and Prayer: Don’t Rush—Wait on God & Watch Him Move!

There’s a word we don’t hear much anymore—but it might be the key to real revival in your life and school: tarry.

To tarry means to wait. Not just sit around—but to linger with expectation, to stay in God’s presence until something shifts.

“Jesus told them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the gift the Father promised…”
—Acts 1:4

In the Bible, the word for wait—prosmenō—means to stay, to press in, to keep showing up. That’s what the disciples did before the fire of Pentecost fell. They didn’t rush out—they waited. And the Holy Spirit came in power.

And today? That same kind of hunger is bringing revival in wild ways.

In Punjab, India, a man named Apostle Ankur Narula started a small church with just 3 people. He didn’t blow up on social media. He tarried in prayer. He waited for God. And now? Over 500,000 people are a part of that church. More than 300,000 show up every week. People are getting healed. Addictions are breaking. Demons are fleeing. Jesus is being lifted high!

How did it start? Not with lights or hype.

It started with waiting.

“They that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength…” —Isaiah 40:31
“The Lord is good to those who wait for Him…” —Lamentations 3:25

So tomorrow—Wednesday—let’s fast and pray.

Let’s turn off distractions. Skip a meal. Put our phones down. And tarry in prayer. Wait on Jesus. Ask Him to move in your school, your heart, and your city!

You don’t have to hype it up. Just show up—and wait!

Revival comes to those who linger.

Let’s tarry together,
