Wednesday Fast and Prayer: What Happens When We Fast? — Revival Power!

“Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off” — Acts 13:3

What if we told you that fasting and prayer has started revivals before—revivals that changed schools, cities, and even nations?

Let’s take it back to the 1940s, where a man named Franklin Hall led one of the most powerful fasting movements in American history. His book, Atomic Power with God through Fasting and Prayer, taught people to tarrythat means to wait on God in prayer and fasting, expecting Him to move.

And guess what? God moved.
People were healed.
People had angelic encounters.
The gospel spread fast—like fire!

Franklin taught that fasting wasn’t about earning God’s power—it was about getting low, getting empty, so that you could carry more of Him. He believed what Jesus did in Matthew 4—fasting for 40 days before His ministry—was a pattern for all of us. If Jesus needed to fast before walking in power, how much more do we?

And that’s why we fast and pray every Wednesday.

We’re not doing this for hype. We’re doing it because we want more of Jesus. We’re hungry for Him to come to our schools, our cities, and our generation with real power. Not just talk—but miracles, freedom, and the gospel that sets people on fire!

 Let’s Pray Today:

  • That Gen Z and Gen Alpha in our schools would hear the gospel and believe (Romans 1:16)

  • That students would get hungry to fast and seek God

  • That God would raise up revivalists who will preach Jesus with boldness (Matthew 9:38)

  • That we would see miracles, healing, and a wave of salvation—just like in the 1940s

Today, let’s fast for real.
Not just skipping a meal. But using every hunger pain as a cry:

“Lord, we want You more.”

This is how revival starts—with students like YOU who say yes to God in secret.

Let’s tarry. Let’s fast. Let’s see the fire fall!

In it with you,
FCS Club
