Like Esther: Log Off Devices, Rise Up, Stand in the Gap and Feast on God's Love and Word!

Thanks for showing up again this Wednesday to fast and pray. What you're doing matters—big time!

Let’s keep it real: the pressure in life is real. Our generation is battling violence, confusion, addiction, and heartbreak every day. But this isn’t the first time the people of God have faced heavy darkness—and it’s not the first time we’ve been called to fast.

One of the boldest fasts in the Bible came from a young queen named Esther. When her people were about to be wiped out, she didn’t panic—she fasted.

“Go, gather all the Jews… and fast for me; do not eat or drink for three days, night or day… and if I perish, I perish.”
—Esther 4:16

Esther didn’t just fast food—she shut everything down to seek God. Her life was on the line. And instead of running from the moment, she stood in the gap.

That’s what we’re doing this week.

We’re calling for a radical fast—especially from social media. Let’s unplug from the noise and tap into the presence of God. TikTok can wait. Snapchat can wait. Instagram can wait. Revival can’t.

Instead of scrolling, let’s soak in the Word.
Instead of chasing likes, let’s chase His presence.
Instead of entertaining our flesh, let’s feed our spirit.

Why? Because this isn’t just about us. We’re standing in the gap like Esther—for our schools, our city, and our generation.

Esther risked her crown.
Jesus gave up His crown.

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
—Mark 10:45

That’s the power of the gospel. Jesus fasted. Jesus prayed. Jesus died and rose again to break the curse off us. And now we fast and pray—not to earn God’s love, but because we’ve already been loved with a love that never fails.

This week, let’s fast like it matters—because it does.

  • No distractions

  • Feast on His Word

  • Pray for your school

  • Cry out for revival

Let’s pray that a modern-day Esther or Mordecai rises up from your school—someone fearless, set apart, and full of the Holy Spirit. Someone who says, “If I perish, I perish—because Jesus is worth everything.”

“Let us approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need.”
—Hebrews 4:16

The battle is real—but our King is greater.
Let’s fast. Let’s pray. Let’s go!

Blessings in Christ,

FCS Club
