Fast from the World. Feast on God’s Love & Word this Summer!

Thank you for continuing to join the Wednesday fast!

Your hunger for God is making an impact, and we’re believing this upcoming school year will be marked by gospel transformation and revival!

This week, we’re also looking at one of the most powerful fasts in Scripture—when Moses fasted 40 days and nights, twice, for a rebellious generation (Deut. 9:18, 25). Israel had turned away from God, but Moses didn’t give up. He didn’t run. He fell on his face and cried out for mercy.

That fast wasn’t about self-improvement—it was about intercession. And it pointed forward to Jesus, who would climb another mountain—not to fast, but to give His life for sinners.

“While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” —Romans 5:8

Now we fast not to earn anything—but to stand in the gap like Moses.
We fast because Jesus already won the victory, and we want His victory to be seen in our schools, our friends, and our generation.

But this fast isn’t just about skipping a meal.
It’s about fasting from the world—and feasting on God’s love and His Word.

We fast from distraction so we can listen to His voice.
We fast from entertainment so we can encounter His presence.
We fast from the noise of culture so we can feast on the truth of Scripture.

“Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God.” —Matthew 4:4

So let’s go again this Wednesday:
Come hungry—not just for food, but for His presence.
Come desperate—not just for breakthrough, but for His heart.
Come expectant—believing that God still moves when we pray and fast.

“You will call, and the Lord will answer… Here I am.” —Isaiah 58:9

This is more than a fast—it’s a gospel cry.
A cry for lost friends to come home.
A cry for revival in our schools.
A cry for hearts to burn again with first love for Jesus.

We’re not after hype—we’re after Him.
Let’s fast. Let’s pray. Let’s believe!

Blessings in Christ,

FCS Club
