Thank You for Fasting—You Are Helping Birth Revival in America!
Thank you for continuing to join the Wednesday fast—your powerful prayers and sacrifice are making an eternal impact!
At a recent Montgomery club, a young man stood up and shared that over the course of this year, he has been born again—and just yesterday, he was baptized! He wasn’t joking or saying it lightly. While others around him were laughing or unsure how to respond, he looked them in the eye and said, “I’m serious, man. I really gave my life to God. I did it. I know I’m different.”
He spoke with such conviction—like someone who had encountered Jesus in a real and life-changing way. He wasn’t ashamed. He wanted people to know: this wasn’t a phase, it was a decision. He’s hungry to grow, and we’re staying in touch to walk with him as he continues this new life in Christ.
This is why we fast, why we pray, and why we go. Thank you, partners, for sowing into this harvest. Eternity is being changed—one soul at a time!
Let’s remain fervent in prayer for the 12-12-12-12 vision at the Atlanta high school club—asking God for a mighty outpouring of the gospel and for a consecrated revivalist to arise in this generation! Keep lifting up the five Montgomery clubs as well, especially the college Bible study, where sparks of revival are beginning to break through.
We want to express our deep gratitude for your steadfast commitment to fasting in this hour. In a world consumed with indulgence, you have chosen a higher calling—to lay down earthly desires and feast on the boundless love of our Lord Jesus Christ. Your sacrifice is more than a discipline—it is a fragrant offering to Jehovah, a prophetic act that declares with your life:
“Lord, we want You more than anything this world can offer.”
Fasting is not merely abstaining from food—it is a sacred cry of desperation, a humble invitation for heaven to invade earth. As you’ve denied the flesh and fixed your eyes on Jesus, you have stepped into partnership with the Holy Spirit to ignite something far greater than personal breakthrough: a national awakening—a widespread move of the gospel to hearts young and old.
Your fast has echoed the prayer of Isaiah 64:1—
“Oh, that You would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains would tremble before You!”
And we believe God is answering. Your obedience is helping to shift the spiritual atmosphere over schools, cities, and this nation.
Scripture promises that fasting releases supernatural power and breakthrough:
Isaiah 58:6–8 declares that true fasting breaks yokes, sets captives free, and causes your light to break forth like the dawn.
Mark 9:29 reminds us that “this kind” of resistance is only broken through prayer and fasting.
Matthew 6:18 assures us that when we fast in secret, our Father who sees in secret will reward us.
You may not see it fully yet—but heaven sees. Chains are falling. Strongholds are shaking. And the seeds you’ve sown in secret will bear fruit in public revival—rooted in the power of the gospel.
We are standing in the same stream as Jesus, who fasted for 40 days before launching His Spirit-filled ministry of the gospel. Like Daniel, who fasted for 21 days and received angelic breakthrough. Like Nineveh, where a citywide fast turned away judgment and ushered in mercy. Your fast is part of that legacy of intercession and revival.
As Lou Engle has said:
“Fasting is not a hunger strike; it’s a hunger for God.”
And we see that hunger alive in you. It is contagious. It is powerful. It is holy.
Thank you for believing with us that revival is not just possible—but imminent. Thank you for helping us call America back to the cross, back to her knees, and back to the gospel of Jesus Christ. As you’ve stood in the gap, we believe your prayers have paved the way for a generation to be awakened, for prodigals to return, and for Jesus to be enthroned in this land again.
May God reward you richly.
May His fire fall.
And may your fasting bear eternal fruit!
United for the harvest,
Joseph and the Crossroads Team
