Happy Mother's Day!
This Mother’s Day, we invite you to feast on God’s love as we celebrate the beautiful sacrifice mothers make to bring life, nurture, and love into the world.
We honor every mother’s labor of love — and we remember that behind it all is God’s heart, the One who formed families and whose love is even greater than the strongest human love.
Here are three Scriptures to help all of us (whether you’re a mother, child, or spiritual family member) reflect on and celebrate this special day:
Proverbs 31:28–29
“Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.’”
— A godly mother’s life leaves a legacy of praise. Illustration: Think of the quiet, unseen sacrifices — the countless meals, sleepless nights, and whispered prayers — that one day blossom into children who honor her with love and gratitude.
Isaiah 66:13
“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you.”
— God uses a mother’s comfort to reveal His own heart. Illustration: Remember a time when a mother’s hug or gentle voice calmed a storm inside — that’s just a glimpse of how God longs to hold and comfort each of us in His perfect love.
2 Timothy 1:5
“I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.”
— A mother’s (or grandmother’s) faith can plant seeds that grow into generations of faith. Illustration: Like a gardener who plants small seeds year after year, a mother’s faithful prayers, Bible reading, and example quietly shape the future, often far beyond what she can see.
This Mother’s Day, let’s feast on God’s love — His Word, His presence, and His goodness poured out in the gift of mothers.
Let’s also lift up:
Mothers who are tired or grieving
Women longing to become mothers
Spiritual mothers raising up the next generation in the faith
Gospel advance in families and communities across our cities
Thank you, ministry partners, for standing with us as we pray, serve, and believe for revival in this generation — Gen Z, Gen Alpha, and beyond!
We pray you experience God’s deep, joyful love this weekend, whether you’re celebrating as a mother, a child, or part of God’s family.
Blessings in Christ,
Joseph and the Crossroads Team
