Feast on God’s Love: The Secret Power Behind Prayer & Fasting!

Thank you for continuing to fast and pray with us! The gospel is being preached and God is moving mightily!

All the Montgomery clubs are experiencing incredible growth! Just recently, a middle school principal stopped Prince to say how much he appreciates the work being done with the students — and the teachers have been sharing the same gratitude! At one high school, a student opened up and said, “I finally understand what it means to repent. I believe I have fully turned from my sins, turned to God, and now trust Him completely!” Truly, this is the power of the gospel — it’s the goodness of God that leads people to repentance! (Romans 2:4)

Let’s keep pressing in for the 12-12-12-12 vision at the Atlanta high school club — asking God for a gospel outpouring and a consecrated revivalist to rise up! Let’s also lift up the five Montgomery clubs, especially the college Bible study where a mini-revival appears to be breaking out! There’s still much to work out, but by His grace, this vision will grow and multiply!

As we continue to fast and pray together, let's remember something simple but powerful:

Fast the world to feast on God’s love — His Word & His manifest Presence.

This is not a burdensome duty; it is the key to unlocking joy, intimacy, and power in your life. “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” -Psalm 37:4

Let’s look at Acts 13:1–3, where the early church leaders gathered to worship, pray, and fast. In response, the Holy Spirit gave clear direction and launched Paul and Barnabas into their apostolic mission.

Why is fasting and prayer so powerful?

Three Biblical Principles from Acts 13:1–3

1. Fasting sharpens spiritual hearing

Illustration: Think of a radio trying to pick up a signal. When you fast, you clear out static — distractions, noise, clutter — so you can hear God’s voice clearly.
Related verse: John 10:27 — “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”

2. Fasting positions us for fresh assignments

Illustration: It’s like a soldier standing at attention, ready for orders. The early church wasn’t just praying for blessing — they were ready to be SENT.
Related verse: Isaiah 6:8 — “Here I am. Send me!”

3. Fasting releases supernatural power and multiplication

Illustration: It’s like cutting back a plant so it can grow more fruit. By humbling ourselves in fasting, God stretches our influence and impact.
Related verse: Matthew 17:21 — “This kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

Why do we fast?

Because we want more of Him.
We fast the world so we can feast on God’s love His living Word, His manifest presence, His guidance, His power.

As we do this, we are praying not just for personal blessing, but for revival — that God would:

  •  Ignite fresh fire in us

  • Raise up laborers for the harvest

  • Release His gospel through us to the nations

Let’s go after Him with joy!
He promises: Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” (Matthew 5:6)

United for the harvest,
