This Wednesday: Fast the World, Feast on Jesus — A Call to Those Who Want More!

Good evening {{contact.first_name}}!

Tomorrow is the weekly Wednesday fast!

This isn’t just a fast from food.
It’s a fast from fake stuff.
From the lies, the noise, the distractions—and a feast on something real: the love of Jesus.

Theme: "Fasting the World to Feast on the Gospel (God's Love/Word/Presence)"

The gospel isn’t self-help.
It’s not “try harder” or “be better.”
It’s God stepping in to rescue broken people—through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

When we fast, we’re telling our flesh:
“You don’t run me—Jesus does.”
We’re clearing out space to fall in love with the only One who never fails.

 Why Are We Fasting?

Because we were made to be holy—set apart.
But holiness doesn’t happen by accident.
It happens when your heart gets captivated by Jesus.
Fasting helps turn down the world’s volume… so we can actually hear His voice.

5 Ways to Fast the World and Feast on the Gospel:

1. Fast Social Media – Dwell in God’s Presence
Social media makes us compare, flex, and feel empty.
Fasting gives us room to breathe—and to be real with God. Psalm 4:8 – “I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.”

2. Fast Food & Drink – Hunger for Righteousness
Let your empty stomach remind you what you really need: God. Matthew 5:6 – “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”

3. Fast Netflix & Entertainment – Pursue a Pure Heart
Most of it glorifies sin and leaves your soul dry. Matthew 5:8 – “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”
This week, open your Bible and ask God to clean your heart.

4. Fast Harmful Music – Tune Your Ears to Grace
Some lyrics pollute your soul. Trade the trash for truth. Psalm 119:105 – “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”
Play songs that point you to the cross.

5. Fast Selfish Ambition – Live to Love Like Jesus
It’s not about clout—it’s about Christ. Mark 12:30–31 – “Love the Lord your God… and love your neighbor as yourself.”
Pray for someone who’s lost. Love without limits.

The Gospel Behind the Fast:

Fasting doesn’t save us.
Jesus does.
But fasting reminds us of this:

· Christ is better than comfort.

· His presence > food.

· His Word > entertainment.

· His cross > our reputation.

As St. Augustine once said:
“Our hearts are restless until they rest in You.”

Will You Join Us?

This Wednesday, let’s fast the world and feast on the love that never quits.
Let’s pray for revival in our schools, our city, and our generation.
Let’s go after Jesus with pure hearts—and believe He’ll meet us with power.

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” – Matthew 5:8

Blessings in Christ,
