Wednesday Fast: Rejoice in the Fast—The Gospel Brings Joy!

Thank you for fasting, praying, and standing with us to see the gospel reach students and awaken hearts across America. Your partnership is helping raise up a generation that lives, breathes, and carries the gospel with power!

As we fast tomorrow, let’s remember that worship, praise, and thanksgiving are not side notes—they are the heartbeat of a gospel-centered life. Psalm 63 reminds us, “Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You.” Even when fasting feels hard or your body feels weak, offer Him thsacrifice of praise. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in everything—this is the will of God (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).

Worship and praise—flowing from a heart rooted in God’s Word—bring the greatest breakthroughs. The Word becomes our food; praise and prayer become our water. As we feed on Scripture and lift our voices in gratitude, real and lasting faith begins to grow. “Without faith it is impossible to please God,” and faith comes by hearing the Word (Romans 10:17). Thanksgiving reflects faith—it’s the sound of a heart confident that the gospel promise will come to pass!

As we fast, let’s also embrace the joy of living whole and healthy. The Lord delights in laughter, rest, and creativity.Whether it’s walking, journaling, playing music, or another life-giving hobby, these practices refresh our spirit and help us become healthy revivalists—people whose joy makes the gospel irresistible.

So tomorrow, even as you deny the flesh, let your spirit overflow with joy! Let’s worship through the fast, feed on His Word, and let the gospel shape every thought, word, and action.

Thank you again for praying, fasting, and giving so that the gospel continues to go forth with power. Together, we’re carrying joy to a generation hungry for hope!

With gratitude and joy,
Joseph and The Crossroads Team
