Lives Are Changing—God Is Moving in Our Schools!
We’re watching God move powerfully across Montgomery’s schools—and it’s because of your prayers, fasting, and generosity that these moments are happening. Every story below is fruit from your partnership in the gospel!
Middle School #1 – Hungry for New Life
This week, six students showed up before the club even started—waiting expectantly for the Word of God. That kind of hunger is rare. The lesson came from Ezekiel 36:25, where God promises to cleanse us from all sin and give us a new heart and a new spirit. The room was full of life—students were eager to read Scripture aloud, ask questions, and share honestly.
When asked what might hold them back from fully giving everything to Jesus, one young man paused before saying, “Because I don’t want to stop the stuff I like to do.” His honesty revealed the real battle so many students face—the tension between their old life and the life Jesus offers. But even that confession showed God’s Spirit at work. Pray for these students to take that final step of surrender and experience the freedom of being born again!
Middle School #2 – From Ten to Thirty and Overflowing
At another Montgomery middle school, the move of God is accelerating. What began just a few weeks ago with five to ten students has now grown to over thirty, filling every chair—and then some! Students are now inviting their friends, and even those who weren’t originally invited are showing up on their own.
This week’s message focused on the origin of sin and how Jesus came to destroy its power. You could feel the weight of conviction and hope in the room. One student, who looked particularly downcast, opened up afterward to say she was being bullied and called names at school. The staff member spent nearly 30 minutes talking and praying with her, reminding her that her worth isn’t found in what others say but in what Christ has already spoken over her. She felt a lot better after conversation.
The teacher and principal both told our team, “Keep doing what you’re doing!” They see the difference this club is making—one heart, one conversation at a time. God’s light is breaking through in this school, and His truth is beginning to take deep root.
High School Encounter – Football Field Revival
Meanwhile, one of our staff members was out for a run near his home when he felt the Holy Spirit nudging him to share the gospel with a group of high school boys playing football. Lap after lap, that stirring grew stronger until he couldn’t shake it. Finally, he stopped mid-run and walked right over to them—just as they were huddled up choosing teams.
He asked if he could share something on his heart, and to his surprise, they agreed—and even invited him to play! He began to talk about God’s love, the reality of sin, and the freedom that comes through Jesus. As he spoke, the boys’ laughter turned to silence. One asked, “What if I’ve been baptized but keep falling into sin?”
The staff member explained God’s grace and what it means to walk daily with Him—not in perfection, but in surrender. He said, “True strength isn’t about how many pushups you can do—it’s about letting Jesus live through you.”
When he invited them to give their lives to Christ, one by one, every single boy said yes. Right there in the middle of the field, they huddled up again—this time in prayer—confessing their sins and receiving Jesus as Lord. He invited them to his Saturday Bible study, and several have already responded that they’re coming!
It’s a picture of what revival looks like: ordinary moments becoming holy ground when someone simply obeys the nudge of the Holy Spirit.
