Another in Hyderabad has grown to 315,000 members and the leader has a bold vision to plant 40 more mega churches across India and win every Indian to Christ in the next 40 years!

As we continue our Wednesday fast, we’re looking back to one of the most powerful gospel movements in history—the Evangelical Revival led by John Wesley in the 1730s–1740s.
Wesley, along with George Whitefield and others, longed for more than religious form—he longed for the power of the gospel to transform hearts and nations. He was deeply influenced by the Moravians’ 100-year prayer movement and learned to tarry—to wait on the Lord until the Holy Spirit came in power.
At Fetter Lane in 1739, Wesley, Whitefield, and a small band of believers prayed deep into the night. At 3 a.m., while sharing the Lord’s Supper, they were overwhelmed by the presence of God. That outpouring sparked a gospel revival that shook all of England and later swept through the American colonies.

“I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation…” —Romans 1:16
