25K Match and Wednesday Fast & Prayer — The Gospel Still Has Power!

And your prayers are being answered—Crossroads has interviews scheduled with two potential revivalists for the Atlanta high school club! This has been one of our greatest needs, and we’re full of faith and expectation for all God has in store for this coming school year. We believe the Lord is raising up laborers for this harvest field—students are hungry for an encounter with Jesus!

Your faithfulness is fueling a movement that echoes the revivals of history—revivals that tarried long in prayer and saw a generation awakened to the glory of Christ.

This Wednesday, as we fast and pray together, we remember a key moment in history: the Second Great Awakening and the powerful ministry of Charles Finney.

Finney didn’t wait for revival to fall from the sky—he tarried. He believed the gospel was not only true but transformative, and that hearts could be awakened through persistent prayer and bold proclamation. In 1831, in Rochester, New York, Finney’s gospel-centered meetings led to over 100,000 conversions. But behind the scenes were believers fasting, praying, and refusing to stop until heaven came down.

“Break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, till He come and rain righteousness upon you.” —Hosea 10:12

Finney taught that revival was not merely a miracle—but the result of meeting God’s conditions. That meant protracted meetings, gospel preaching, and prayer gatherings where the saints would tarry until the Spirit came in power.

That same Spirit is still moving today. And the same gospel still changes everything.

Let’s fast and pray this Wednesday with fresh fire—believing that God is still writing revival history through students, churches, and communities willing to say yes to the call of consecration!

Let’s fast the world, and feast on Christ.
Let’s fast distractions, and feast on His Word.
Let’s fast comfort, and feast on His promises.
