Laboring for Revival This Labor Day!

As we celebrate Labor Day, we remember how this holiday began in the late 19th century to honor the sacrifices of American workers who fought for fair labor practices and the dignity of their work. Today, as we reflect on that history, we also lift our eyes higher—beyond the work of our hands to the greater labor God has called us to in this generation.

Revival is now for Gen Z and Gen Alpha. Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few” (Matthew 9:37). We don’t have to wait for the harvest—it’s already here. Just this past summer, we saw it the power of the gospel in action: at two Friday night outreaches at MTG University3 students were truly “born again.” Heaven is already rejoicing, and this is only the beginning!

This Labor Day, let’s not only rest from our work but also press into the work of prayer and consecration. God is looking for laborers who will live a “fasted lifestyle,” set apart for Him, carrying His fire and the gospel into schools, campuses, and communities.

Our nation is in desperate need of a radical gospel movement—one that calls people back to God’s Word and into new life in Jesus Christ. Let’s labor together in prayer and action, believing that our efforts are not in vain but will bear fruit for His Kingdom.

“Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” —1 Corinthians 15:58

May this Labor Day remind us that the greatest work we can do is to give our lives fully to Jesus and to the harvest He has already prepared!
