Wednesday Prayer and Fast: A Call to Revival!
Thank you for continuing to fast and pray for our students and schools! Your prayers are making an impact (James 5:!6)!
This week, four young men joined our Zoom call. One shared that being in the Atlanta club last week felt like “all the pain was being drained out of his soul” as he encountered God’s peace in a real way.
Another student opened up in a personal call, confessing a struggle with sexual perversion and porn addiction. He was hungry for freedom but felt trapped. We spent time praying and mentoring, and he's now being connected with a band of brothers to run with in Christ!
Please keep him—and so many others like him—in prayer. God is healing and transforming hearts, one student at a time!
We are believing for a mighty move of God in five schools across Montgomery, one in Atlanta, and campuses nationwide! Pray for a consecrated revivalist to rise up and lead the Atlanta High School club with boldness and vision.
At the Atlanta High School, we're laying the foundation for the One Club vision—launching four discipleship groups:
-12 parents
-12 male students
-12 female students
-12 teachers
Meanwhile, the ‘House of Prayer’ mandate at Crossroads continues to expand—we’re pressing toward 20 Zoom prayer meetings each week with 200 intercessors united in faith!
Our upcoming social media launch will play a key role in mobilizing this movement—so pray for creativity, reach, and Holy Spirit impact!
As we fast from the world and feast on God’s love this Wednesday, we remember that the Azusa Street Revival—one of the most significant outpourings of the Holy Spirit in history—began during this very window of time: April 4th to 14th, 219 years ago.
Much like the early church in Acts 1, the people of Azusa waited on God in unity, prayer and hunger for ten days. And just like in Acts 2, the Lord answered with power, shaking the foundations of what was thought possible.
“When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place… And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.” — Acts 2:1,4
But this revival didn’t happen overnight. It was forged in the fires of prayer, fasting and deep repentance. Leaders like Frank Bartleman, inspired by the Welsh Revival, led many in intercession for years, longing for more of God.
Bartleman understood a key truth:
"The depth of revival will be determined exactly by the depth of the spirit of repentance."
In other words, revival flows from brokenness before God—when hearts are humbled and sin is renounced, the Spirit has room to move.
And William J. Seymour, the humble leader of the Azusa movement, revealed another vital key:
"Wherever God can get a people that will come together in one accord and one mind in the Word of God, the baptism of the Holy Ghost will fall upon them."
This kind of unity in the Word, prayer, and purpose creates an atmosphere Heaven cannot resist.
So today, as we fast and pray, let’s come before God with repentant hearts and unified spirits—not just for personal renewal, but for a national awakening. Many believe the Third Great Awakening has already begun. And we have been given the honor of being part of it!
Let’s take our place in this story. Let’s pray like revival depends on it—because it does!
