Wednesday Fast—The Joy of the Lord & the Power of the Gospel!

Thank you for your continued faithfulness in fasting, praying and giving. Your partnership is helping the gospel go forth across our schools and cities—changing lives and igniting revival!

As we enter this Wednesday Fast, remember that fasting isn’t just a discipline of denial—it’s an invitation to delight in God. Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4).

The Power of Intermittent Fasting

Intermittent fasting can look simple:

Example: Skip breakfast, drink water or tea, and eat your first meal at lunch

Use those morning hours to worship, read Scripture, or walk outdoors—feeding your spirit while your body rests.

It’s amazing how fasting resets both body and soul—clearing the mind, sharpening focus, and helping us hear God’s voice more clearly.

Worship Is Warfare

As we fast, remember that worship is our greatest weapon. Scripture says, “The joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10).

Laughter, joy, and praise all drive back darkness because they declare the victory of Christ! Let your home or car become a sanctuary of joy—singing, laughing, and resting in His presence.

“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 14:17)

The No-Agenda Love of God

True revival begins when we seek Him not for what He can do, but simply for who He is. This “no-agenda love” is rare in our fast-paced culture—but it’s the very thing that transforms us.

So tomorrow, before you chase any personal or ministry goal, pause and pursue His presence first. Let His love fill you, quiet you, and re-center your heart in the gospel.

Practical Renewal

Turn off your phone. Step outside. Take a walk in nature and talk with the Lord. Journal what He’s showing you. Pick up a healthy hobby that refreshes your mind and keeps your heart tender before Him.

As you fast and worship, let this verse anchor your day:
“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:8)

Thank you again for your prayers, fasting, and giving—your faithfulness is helping spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to students who are hungry for truth and freedom. Together, we’re preparing the way of the Lord in this generation!

With gratitude and joy, Joseph and the Crossroads Team
