Jesus - The Maker

Here is a quick glimpse into our student engagements this past week.

This summer we are challenging students to Consecrate their summers to the Lord in Holiness.

We feel an overarching theme of teaching our students that true relationship with Jesus begins and is sustained in the secret place. While we do not forsake the gathering together of the saints, we must all yield to the secret place of prayer: Where He is given permission to trim the wick of our hearts and to tend to tend to the flame of our hearts.

A generation on fire for Jesus knows what His eyes of fire look like because they've spent time looking at Him.

We invite you into the same challenge:

"But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly." Matt 6:6

In this place is where we find belonging, purpose, and meaning. In this place we are known and begin to know Him, the most valuable experience we can engage in.

John 1 & 2 - The Maker:

Before the foundations of the earth, the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit purposed to create.... The God of the universe who is everywhere desired to dwell SOMEWHERE. This somewhere was the earth and ultimately with man, so by the breath of His lungs and the Word of His mouth, all that exists was created... In a moment.

John 1:3 - All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

Colossians 1:16For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

Jesus the Maker in the same way made man.

Psalms 139:13-16

For You formed my inward parts;

You covered me in my mother’s womb.

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Marvelous are Your works,

And that my soul knows very well.

My frame was not hidden from You,

When I was made in secret,

And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.

And in Your book they all were written,

The days fashioned for me,

When as yet there were none of them.

Isaiah 64:8

But now, O Lord,

You are our Father;

We are the clay, and You our potter;

And all we are the work of Your hand.

He made you and me and His desire was to dwell with and in us. He initiated it long ago in the garden and He also initiated mankind 2000+ years ago when He became a man and dwelt among us. He is the author and the perfector and we now have Him in our hearts because of His coming. He's given us a new heart, one in which He can dwell in and by His spirit He has and is pursuing each of us that we might be ALIVE to Him and awake when He returns.

May we let go of every sin, every affection, and every worldly thing that hinders this love from coming in.

Revelation 3:20

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

Pray with us:

Lord, thank you for bearing all of our sin and shame that you might live within us. Have your way in our hearts. We confess that they are yours. They are fully & completely yours! We joyfully give you all, that you may be Lord.
