There’s a forgotten word that unlocks revival: tarry.
To tarry means to wait—not passively, but with burning expectation. In Scripture, it’s a call to linger in God’s presence until He moves.
“And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father…” —Acts 1:4
In the Greek, the word prosmenō means to stay, remain, persist. Jesus didn’t tell the disciples to run. He told them to wait—and when they did, Pentecost came.
That same spiritual hunger is fueling one of the most powerful and controversial churches in the world today:
